“The truth is here”

This book exposes the deception of modern psychoanalysis and the practice of medicating the symptoms with no hope of cure for the underlying cause. The authors are imminently qualified to make these assertions and do so in a very understandable and readable style. Hopefully people who believe they are suffering from mental illness will find out there are alternatives that actually alleviate the cause while helping with the symptoms.

“Hard to swallow… but true”

I thought this book was so great. When I first started to read it I was pretty offended but I came to realize I was so upset because it was true. This book causes you to look at yourself in a new perspective. I would not recommend reading this until you are ready to be brutally honest with yourself. This book has impacted my life.

“Five Stars”

A must read for all sincere Christians

“Exposing the useful lie..”

If you are a Christian, and especially a pastor…this is a must read. Pastors have been led to believe that they can’t help people with the everyday problems of life; they need to be sent to the “professionals.” But are the “professionals” really helping people all that much, or is the whole idea of “mental illness” just a useful lie? This book sets the record straight. Dr. Tyler is a godly man who has been helping people with problems for years and he desires to set the record straight when it comes to psychology vs. true biblical counseling. Check out Tyler’s book…the Word of God truly is sufficient!

“Truth – even against the tide”

A thought-provoking book for anyone who sees PSYCHO methods as their only help for their mental problems. The book shows – from a Christian perspective – the actual roots of mental problems. It shows how incorrect responses to life problems become incorrect attitudes and concepts of thought, which are then classified and treated as “mental illnesses.” The dilemma here is that this declares a person a “victim” of an illness who is not responsible for this condition. People then become and remain addicted to psychotropic drugs and an endless series of therapy sessions. Although these methods can limit the effects of the problem (as a good cough syrup also reduces the effects of bronchitis), they cannot eliminate its causes inside a person.
Even though this book is in some ways contrary to the current mainstream, it can be a valuable help for anyone who is seriously looking for a solution to their pschic problems to find their way out of the “vicious circle” of expensive psychotropic drugs and therapies.

“Best book ever!”

This book is the best book i have ever read on understanding why people are falling away from Jesus Christ; it is because sin has become labeled as disease, relieving any sense of accountability to God. Who needs a savior then. BUY THE BOOK!!! It is worth every penny!

“Excellent book”

As a psychologist AND Christian, I was troubled by trying to see mental illness and psychotic behavior from both a psychology and Christian perspective.

Many Christians think all mental illness (depression, anxiety, psychotic behavior, etc) is spiritual attacks from the devil or demons. There is the story about Jesus casting evil spirits out of a man who was cutting himself and the evil spirits were cast into swine/pigs.

However, there are so many Christians who are suffering with depression, anxiety, psychosis etc who aren’t being treated because they refuse to see the psychology component to these illnesses.

Reading this book helped me formulate a better perspective on this topic. A must have for any therapist who is Christian. Good to read books from both arguments then develop your own conclusion.
